Celebrating service and new beginnings: farewell to outgoing PCEA Directors

The PCEA Head Office gathered yesterday in a joyful yet reflective fellowship to bid farewell to the outgoing directors, following the appointments made in November. Eight directors were officially transferred and are set to join various Parishes come January 2026. They included; Rev. Henry G. Kaira (PCMF & Kirk Insurance Agency), Rev. Peter K. Ndung’u (Internal Auditor), Rev. Zachary Gioko (HIV/AIDS and Drugs Desk), Rev. Peter Nderitu (Children’s Ministry), Rev. Anthony Miring’u (Youth Ministry), Rev. John Gatu (TEE, Communication Department & Kirk TV), Rev. Lucy Waweru (Christian Education) and Rev. Elizabeth Kimani (Woman’s Guild).
The occasion also marked the end-of-year staff closing fellowship, attended by GA officials and the entire PCEA Head Office staff. The Moderator delivered the sermon from Luke 2:8-15, emphasizing on ‘Being Connected in Christ’. He noted that while the world often seeks reasons for division, unity in Christ is authentic and enduring. He encouraged the outgoing directors that wherever God sends them, they will fit.
The Secretary General wished the directors well and prayed for God’s continued guidance as they transitioned into new roles, reminding all that when God appoints, He also equips. He further appreciated the ministers’ families, who were present, for their steadfast support.
As the farewell concluded, the outgoing directors were warmly wished success in their upcoming assignments and presented with gifts in appreciation of their dedicated service.
