HIV/AIDS & Drug Control Desk
The Drugs Department promotes public awareness on the effects of addictions by providing credible and accurate information on alcohol and illicit drugs. Further, we support prevention and intervention measures to help in behavioral change. We encourage public cooperation in the anti-drug campaigns so as to cultivate a collective commitment to making Kenya and other East African Countries drug-free.
We also assist persons with alcohol and drug abuse-related problems through specialized treatment programs in our rehabilitation centres like Presbyterian Care Centre – Lanet. This is geared at giving hope, rebuilding their lives and sustaining recovery.
Our school-based campaigns sustains our war on alcohol and drugs and discourages children and youths from use of illegal recreational drugs.
