GAC 2025 on its first Day Welcomes the Chief Justice Martha Koome
We Will Serve the Lord!
The 2025 GAC is progressing smoothly. Today we were honored to host distinguished guests throughout the day, including Her Ladyship Martha K. Koome, accompanied by a distinguished delegation from the judiciary, Tharaka Nithi Woman Representative, Hon. Susan Ngugi Mwindu; Chuka Igamba Ng’ombe MP, Hon. Patrick Munene, Burundi’s ECCA General Secretary Albert Nyabenda and the General Secretary of NCCK, Canon Chris Kinyanjui.
The Chief Justice commended the PCEA Church for its significant contributions to health and education, particularly through the establishment of schools, theological colleges, and a university, as well as its commitment to providing healthcare services. She praised the Church for its strong stewardship of community life, nurtured through its various groups for men, women, youth, and children.
She urged the Church to use its influential voice to advocate for integrity and truth, and called for the promotion of social harmony and peaceful coexistence. Additionally, she encouraged the embrace of dialogue-based dispute resolution as a form of alternative justice, emphasizing that justice can often be found first within our homes, places of worship, and communities—before resorting to the courts.
The day was further enriched by uplifting entertainment from the Meru Town Choir and Muungano students.
GAC continues tomorrow. Follow the proceedings on Kirk Tv Kenya now on Signet and Pang.
