GAC 2026 is coming to Eldoret

The 2nd General Administration Committee (GAC) of the 24th General Assembly will take place from 7th to 11th April 2026 in the Rift Valley Region, hosted by Eldoret Presbytery at Pioneer Parish. As is tradition, the opening day will have a divine service in remembrance of ministers who have passed on.

The GAC meets to receive progress reports on the performance of the Church across its groups, departments, and presbyteries. It also reviews and makes decisions on matters that cannot wait for the next General Assembly(which takes place after three years). On behalf of the Assembly, the GAC passes resolutions, offers approvals, and makes recommendations. Additionally, it adjudicates internal matters and articulates the Church’s position on issues affecting the Church, the nation, and families.

One year after the 1st GAC, several key achievements have been realized, including:

  • Admission of men to Holy Communion based on faith, even without a church wedding
  • Continued subdivision of parishes
  • Licensing and ordination of 61 ministers
  • Establishment of a new mission hospital in Rumuruti
  • Completion of a three-storey building in partnership with PCEA Sacco
  • Ongoing engagement in national development and public affairs
  • Strengthened collaborations with other faith-based institutions
  • Campaigns to combat alcoholism in communities
  • Completion of a church in Uganda and preparatory work for a new project in Arusha
  • Continued commitment to being an ambassador of hope to the people

This year’s GAC will also mark the presentation of final reports by the Moderator of the 24th General Assembly and the Secretary General, as they enter their sixth and final year of service.

The organizing committee, led by the Deputy Secretary General, has been working diligently to ensure all arrangements are in place for a smooth and successful GAC.

All proceedings will be broadcast live on Kirk TV.
