PCEA Kikuyu Hospital unveils 2025 spiritual ministry plan

PCEA Kikuyu Hospital has officially launched its 2025 Spiritual Ministry Plan under the theme “Christ-Centered Wholistic Health.” The launch, held on February 13, 2025, was led by Rev. John Mbae, Deputy Secretary General and Secretary to the PCEA Health Board.

This initiative seeks to foster a holistic approach to healthcare by nurturing the spiritual well-being of patients, staff, and the wider hospital community. The program is built on four key pillars:
1. Staff Spiritual Development and Care
2. Patient Spiritual Care
3. Hospital Worship Community
4. Organizational Spiritual Ministry Integration

The Spiritual Ministry Team is committed to implementing a comprehensive strategy by equipping the hospital with the right mindset, skills, and tools to ensure the plan’s success.

At the core of this initiative is the belief that a Christ-centered approach enhances healthcare delivery. The hospital community is encouraged to:
• Recognize God as the ultimate healer and see their work as a calling to serve.
• Embrace holistic care, understanding that spirituality is deeply interconnected with healing.
• Adopt a missionary mindset, treating every interaction as an opportunity to reflect Christ’s love.
• Show compassion, dignity, and empathy, recognizing that patients have both physical and spiritual needs.

As a mission hospital, PCEA Kikuyu remains rooted in Christ, compassion, love, and integrity.

In his sermon during the launch, Rev. John Mbae emphasized that our actions reflect our true character. He reminded the community that kindness, compassion, and respect should not be reactions to how others treat us but rather expressions of our values.
“True change starts within. Let’s be the light!”
