PCEA partners with Rafiki Foundation
PCEA through the Christian Education Department has partnered with Rafiki Foundation for provision and distribution of Bible study materials.
The PCEA Christian Education Department deals with all matters of education. It plays its role in teaching, discipleship, and equipping the learners to become like Christ. It helps the people of God to grow holistically into maturity within and without the Church. It is through this department that learning opportunities and materials are shared as well as providing ways to improve education in various regions of the country.
In performing its mandate, the department partners with various institutions that help achieve its goals. Rafiki Foundation being one such partner, is big on education with the vision to cultivate a multitude of godly contributors through Bible study and classical Christian education. The Foundation produces discipleship materials which the PCEA Christian Education then makes available to schools and churches.
On Tuesday 23rd July 2024, this partnership together with Eserian Parish donated 1027 Bibles to Arap Moi Primary School, Kajiado County. On the same day, a Bible Study program was Launched and Study Guides were provided to teachers. The department envisions that this program will help the children become grounded in Christianity with good values in order to complement the value-based CBC education curriculum.
In attendance was the director of Christian Education Rev. Lucy Waweru, the Parish minister of Eserian Parish Rev. John Mburu Changari, Evangelist Rachael Nganga, Elder Euticus Mwangi and the parish Christian Education members.
The department looks forward to making the materials available to all PCEA-sponsored and PCEA-owned schools.
