Rev. Dr. Elias Otieno Agola elected the chairman of National Council of Churches of Kenya
PCEA Church congratulates its own Minister, Rev. Dr. Elias Otieno Agola who was elected the chairman of National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) during its 65th General Assembly that took place at Jumuia Conference Centre Limuru from 21st to 23rd August 2024.
The General Assembly which is the supreme governing body of NCCK took place under the theme: “Dignified Livelihoods, Resilient Communities”.
Besides being the parish minister of PCEA Kahawa West Parish in Nairobi, Rev. Dr. Agola is the current Justice, Peace, Reconciliation and Creation (JPRC) director. He has served in ministry through the PCEA church for 25 years since his ordination in 1999. He is also an ecumenist who has participated in many ecumenical initiatives within and outside Kenya.
Rev Dr. Agola went to Onjiko Boys High school before joining St. Paul’s University, Limuru for a Bachelor of Divinity degree. He later studied corporate governance at the International University of Africa before obtaining his Doctoral degree in the United Kingdom.
The church prays for God’s guidance to Rev. Dr. Elias Agola and all the others who are in the leadership of this very important ecumenical council.
