The Power of Unity: Kirimara Welfare Association
When people come together with a shared purpose, great things happen. This was evident through the Kirimara Welfare Association, a group of Kirimara High School alumni and their spouses who actively engage in welfare initiatives to uplift communities.
On Sunday, members of the association attended a church service at PCEA Kianjau in Thika Town Parish, where they were joined by Rev. John Mbae, Deputy Secretary General of PCEA, and Rev. Daniel Kamau, the Parish Minister.
During the service, the group made a heartfelt commitment to sponsor four high school students from Kiandutu Slums who are in need of financial assistance. The beneficiaries include two Form 2 students, one Form 3 student, and a final-year student.
In addition, the group extended their generosity by donating food items to members of the church, most of whom are residents of Kiandutu. This act of kindness was a reflection of their commitment to supporting the community beyond education.
Rev. John Mbae expressed deep appreciation for these acts of generosity and encouraged more people to come together and form similar welfare associations to support those in need. He emphasized that true service is rooted in compassion and community support, and collective efforts can bring about lasting change.
Kirimara Welfare Association’s initiative is a testament to the impact of collective goodwill, demonstrating that when people unite for a cause, lives are transformed.
