The Health Board’s free medical check ups kick off
In a continued effort to prioritize health and well-being, Presbyterian Church of East Africa successfully hosted a free medical camp for its Head Office staff on Tuesday, 18th September. This initiative by the Health Board ahead of the Health Week observed by the church annually in October, aimed to provide employees with access to essential healthcare services and encourage a proactive approach to health management.
The camp offered comprehensive health check-ups, including blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar tests, eye health checks, full hemogram, pap smear and consultations with medical professionals from PCEA Kikuyu Hospital addressing both immediate health concerns and preventive care strategies. Employees received personalized advice on lifestyle changes, diet plans, and mental wellness tips, ensuring a holistic approach to health.
This camp was the first of the seven camps that will be held across other regions including Mombasa, Eastern, Rift Valley, Central, Mt.Kenya, and Nairobi in the period between September and October 2024 for all PCEA ministers.
In this campaign the Health Board has partnered with Kirk Insurance Agency, PCEA Chogoria Hospital, PCEA Tumutumu Hopital, PCEA kikuyu Hospital and PCEA Nakuru Medical College.
